I took up magic after watching the movie "The Prestige " (2006). That was about 3 months ago. I bought some of the Ellusionist videos on basic card magic (which were really good). I then came into correspondence with a Glaswegian magician, who suggested some books. My skill level is very basic. I can perform a DL, glide, palm (a bad one!), and zarrow shuffle. I am currently working on making my pass invisible and the Ambitious Card routine. I hope to branch out to various different types of magic once I become more experienced in card magic.
The best trick I can perform at the moment is probably "Triumph" by Vernon.
I enjoy the magic of Wayne Houchin and Dan and Dave Buck.
