Oil & Water Routine's

Postby CArlight1958 » Aug 19th, '11, 12:37

Since I took up card magic, I have noticed there are several routine's for
"Oil &Water"

One of my favourite so far is by Roy Walker. (Oil & Queen's)

I was wondering who designed the original routine? & which is your favourite.

I also very much like P Gordon's rainbow routine, but doubt I would be able to follow the written instruction.

That's quite amazing Lawrence.

I seem to recall this man in my younger day's.

Reminds me of the drummer who lost an arm in an accident.
The band waited for him to get well before they toured again.

Can't remember his/there name.

Take a look at the one by Helder Guimaraes, on Small Miracles - I haven't learnt it, but maybe one day.

I too love Rene Lavand's Oil and Water routine, but I also enjoy Guy Hollingworth's version, which is described in the first section of his Drawing Room Deceptions along with his Waving the aces, similar is a way sleight wise.

I use a self-working, yes...self-working O&W from Paul Gordon, which has a prediction built in, (the one that does NOT) separate.
Use it in a gambling set to show how some people can follow a single card, and how shuffling is futile.
