Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

There's nothing at all wrong with using a handbag, which is what I do. I like to perform in an evening dress so pockets are totally out of the question for me (although if you know your way around a sewing kit, a couple of hidden pockets in the folds of the dress can come in handy) but a handbag is a perfectly natural thing to be carrying around and can work as a nice focal point for a routine. I use quite a small bag which when performing, I'll just put at my feet. For me, my bag has become quit a part of my act, I've altered it so it's doubles up as a perfectly innocent looking change bag. I use it for productions, switches and a few other bits and bobs.
