I was thinking of getting the box of delights from UYD.

Better order it soon, I've been waiting six weeks for mine.... :(

Have you contacted Simon? He did have a problem with some parcels being lost.

I'm waiting on the Halloween edition of the Mystic Menagerie with promises of bumper edition. Then with Paul's new book should be stocked with good ideas for a month. Friends may even get treated/punished to a whole host of works in progress for Halloween.

There is a book called 'Horror Magic' by Jim Magus which features spooky and macabre tricks suitable for Halloween. A fair number of the tricks involve chemicals (some quite dangerous, which is why it is an adults only book) but there are quite a few that don't.

I'm not sure how many of the tricks would be suitable for on the doorstep but they would be great for a Halloween party and it is an interesting read.

If anyone is interested, it's available from Magic Books by Post for £4:49p.

Didn't get a reply to the first email a week or so ago, so contacted him again yesterday and he did reply. We'll see how it goes....

Someone somewhere may be contacting the dead with my seance kit!

I had a product go missing and he replaced it for me. I think he also had a family illness so that may explain the delay in the reply. He is a good guy and will sort you out.

He was very helpful with my initial enquiries, which is why I didn't think to chase him up until about a week ago.

Did you buy the spirit lamp to go with the seance kit by the way?

Haunted/Bizarre Magick or, as it were "The Stuff Magicians Look for a Month Prior to Halloween in Order to Cash In"

You may want to spend some time here for starters -- http://www.dragonskull.co.uk/main_map.htm and here's another that OUIJA lovers may enjoy -- http://www.museumoftalkingboards.com/

BOOKS
The Arcanum of Bizarre Magick by Jim Magus
The Larry Baukin Anthology compiled by Loren Tindall (http://www.mevproshop.com)
Book of Haunted Magick by Rick Maue

As to the Original Idea. . .
I've always wanted to stage a Seance around a semi-formal meal that included a nice Prawn Cocktail just so I could pull the gag from the film Bettlejuice, which is quite similar to this particular OUIJA Demon gag. . . which would be fairly easy to set-up if you think about it (I am)
