What do people think of Allan Ackermans material?

Any fans on here? Anyone own any material?

Have been offered some DVD's at a decent price

His stuff is pretty advanced and even his explanations of easier material can be a bit difficult to follow. I suggest sticking to The Royal Road or Card College first.

Which Ackerman material is it in particular?

There was a time I'd tell you to be careful of Allen's stuff in that he's an awesome technician but not so great a showman. That was roughly 15 years ago, just as he started getting the coaching and direction he needed. Now days I think Allen is the sort of guy one should focus on when it comes to the whole playing cards & finger flinging addiction. He's quite awesome.

Yeah makes sense, watching the clips it all seems very advanced

The DVD's offered were

Volume 1 - Classic Ackerman
Volume 2 - Las Vegas Card Miracles
Volume 3 - Allan Ackerman's prequel/sequel

Would have worked out to less than £10 each which seemed reasonable to me

I honestly wouldn't bother. In a couple of years time, if you really find out you're passionate for technical card magic.

Thirty quid could be spent a lot better right now...
