Is this the official role call? Been itching for this since it was announced months ago!

See you there!

BTW, is the venue away from the main hotel building, and if so, where, please?

Two quick questions. What's the nearets airport, and is there a show in the evening, or is the event over at six?

I understand it is over at six, however at the previous one I attended, discussions were continued in to the night at the local public house. :)

London Luton is probably the closest international airport (do not be misled by the London bit, it's nowhere near it).

In terms of flights, Stansted works beautifully. How close is Stansted to Hitchin? Will public transport get me most of the way there?

It's 35 miles (according to the AA route finder) and is mostly country a-roads with a brief stint on the A1. Not sure how good the public transport is. I'm sure there'll be a bus to Welwyn Garden City, which is about half way. An expensive solution would be a taxi from the airport straight to Hitchin, which should take about an hour. But that would depend on how flushed you are!

From Stanstead, you can get to Hitchin via Cambridge with about half an hour for a brew between trains, or you could go via London and change twice. It's 90+ minutes whichever way you go. This isn't actually bad. It' takes an hour to go directly from Paddington with only about 4 stops.

Would any of you attending like to write a report for The Mystic Menagerie?

If I fly into Stansted rather than Luton I will save up to £150 euro, so I will be flushed! I might even stay the night and fly home in the morning. I am really looking forward to this.

cheapest option if you are going via heathrow, is to book a national express coach, that goes direct to hitchin station. they also run on a sunday, so returning isnt an issue. This is how i will probably go, although at 40 quid return from slough, i would still love a lift. i think thats bloody expensive!

I'll be there, but only the evening before - to catch up with old friends and to play with the minds of Hitchin's citizens :-) It will be good to finally chat, Dale.
