This is a pocket trick - a small brass block with an indentation for a steel ball bearing. The ball bearing is supposed to stay in the indentation when the magician inverts it, but drop out when any one else does so. Unfortunately, the instructions supplied are totally incomprehensible, so I can't make the trick work. Can anyone help?
