Have you tried using a strong Neo or similar item?

I've just launched it against the floor and it came undone!

If you haven't got a neo, try using blu-tak.

haha thanks for the reply guys.

i've managed to release it, by dropping it on the floor but I'm sure that'll get annoying after a while!

Thanks Ste, i will give that a go :)

Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to separate them in your hands.

I hold the edges with my thumb on one side and my two fingers on the other. I then slam that hand, in that position, down to my other palm and the downward force dislodges the inner part whilst your fingers and thumb retain the shell.

I wouldn't make a habit of dropping it on the floor, you could dent the shell or even split the insert. I would recommend taking a small magnet and place it (with the reverse magnetic pole) against the back of the coin, the insert should just pop out.

Wouldn't do that too many times if I were you, once damaged it may be hard to mend

Try a powerful m****** or like Ste said, blu-tak

Are you watching closely? Then I'll begin...

I agree, dropping magnets makes them less strong. Use blu tac.

Thanks for the replies.

I tried to seperate with my fingers but it's very hard.

I took up Ste's advice and had a go with some Blue-tac, and straight away it worked. it always works now with no problem so i'll stick to that for now.

i only dropped it once to seperate, so i don't think it would have done much damage. Just glad i've found a way to do it! :D

Cool! 8)

It's quite easy to separate using the method I mentioned - you just have to get the knack first.

Isn't a 2p coin magnetic? So just place it against a 2p and the penny will stick, making it easy to pull the shell away.

I got one of these, as recommended by someone on here : http://www.emagictricks.co.uk/product_i ... ts_id=5300

Coin case with a magnet for resetting. Has the advantage of giving you somewhere to store the Unique so you don't spend it!
