Bicycle Decks - Tips for the annoying security sticker!

I boil my kettle, then press the sticker against it for half a minute or so. The glue becomes runnier then it's really easy to peel it off. That way, you can keep the sticker if needs be, and I find that the box itself isn't sticky either.

Were you perchance involved in The Great Escape?

Nowadays a deck lasts one gig then is topped up using duplicates & relegated to a practice deck. I don't bother cleaning the sticky off but when I was a poor student I found that something stickier pressed very fast against the leftover stickyness would help. Much the same as a bigger blob of Blutac pressed against a smaller blob gets it off walls.

Another 5 minutes of my life gone.
