Hello everyone

I recently brought "Handle wlith Carey" and there is a trick on the DVD using this. I was wondereing, do many TM members use this crimp, and are there any books/DVD's that concentrate on its use?

Any suggestions greatly received.

Hello Wayne,

I carry a BC card with me all the time.
I leave the cellophane on my box, & keep a crimped card in there, along with a few others.

I've also been looking at some of Oz Pearlman's work.
He uses a dirty card, works pretty much the same way as a crimped card.
You might want to check it out.

Gerry Griffin also uses a crimped card in his "Lucky sevens" routine.

John's a really nice bloke, Very approachable, he has some really good magic.
I love his work.

there is quite a large chapter on it's use in Ted Leslie's Paramiracles.
also, I seem to recall John Bannon uses it quite a lot, so you might investigate his work.

I usually have a breather crimp on a card. Just nice to know its there. Also really easy to create one on the fly. I like it for cutting to the aces. Actually I like it to allow a spectator to cut to the aces.

While on the subject. I also recommend Pro Control by Garry Oullet. While not a breather it is a little more, 'solid?' then a breather, and while it is a gimmick, you make it yourself and it takes a second. The whole thing is just a little booklet and when you read it you will probably shoot yourself and me, because it is a little on the pricey side for something that costs nothing and you could have easily thought of yourself. And it may be one of those things that just sits in your bookcase. I like it.

Every single deck of cards I use gets at least a single breather crimp. It cleans up so many effects.

"Bulletts After Dark" is a great dvd to have in your collection Dale.
Having said that, I have all of John's dvd material, & all of it is first class.
You will not be disappointed with any of his work.
