Free Stuff.... Get ya Free Stuff here....

Postby Lawrence » Nov 15th, '11, 18:29

Off the back of AB's thread (and indeed possibly in line with my own previous "giving thread"); Here is a thread where we can share that useless tat we get through the post now and again that means sod all to us but someone else might like it.

To kick us off I have 3 months of free Love Film subs to pass to someone; who wants it?

Nice idea for a thread, Lawrence. :)

If anyone decides to use a free LoveFilm sub and intends cancelling it before they have to pay - be sure to post the DVDs so they get them a couple of days early... and remember they don't process them at the weekend.
That said, LoveFilm is ace. I had to stop my subscription for a while and might not take it back up due to time, but it's a good way to watch a lot of films if you have the time.

Nice offer, Lawrence.

The Beardy one has already claimed via telefonic conversation.

But I do think we should keep this going. I'll see what else I have.

I have three, free trials (3 month?) for Love Film

Sent to me as a giftcards but I'm sure all is needed is the promo codes

If anyone wants to try LoveFilm for free PM me

tbh, I'm not sure what the point of these are as anyone can go on the site and start a free trial and it doesn't look as if I get anything for referring a friend

They are available for any takers nonetheless

completely unrelated topic here.....but seeing as this thread has become the 'unofficial lovefilm' thread thought I'd share......
.....anyone with an xbox 360 will be able to use lovefilm on their console as of tmoz when the new dashboard update comes out.....fun times......(as well as 4od, 5od in a few weeks time and iplayer early next year)

Do the free trials allow streaming? Is so, how many per month?
I was tempted to set up love film, since I love watching films. But would prefer to take advantage of the streaming films, especially if it will be available on the xbox.

The one I'm on = unlimited streaming, but no new films are available for streaming I'm afraid.

And this with a ps3 have all the Iplayer, lovefilm, 40d, and itv features already ;)

Unsure sorry,

I pay approx £15 a month and get 4 discs a month (films or games), I'm allowed 2 at a time and have 4 hours free streaming a month

tbh the 'watch now' films (streamable?) are not as good as the ones they send in the post

they are ok but I just never seem to use up that 4 hours

Thank you Beardy and JammyT, I did not know that the streaming ones are different.
I would have got a contract just for that, but not now.
If I am going to pay to rent films, then I may as well just go and buy them and add to my already large collection of dvds.

I may be wrong but I believe you can PAY to stream 'the better ones' but that's on top of your contract so seems a bit unfair

Just had a look at my account on LF and:

there are certain 'Watch Nows' that are available as part of you package
I can confirm that there is a Pay Per View option
there are also some available to stream for free (not the best choice, however I have just noticed '50 Greatest Magic Tricks' available for free
