Actually I felt the Dalai Lama was the idiot, for not getting it. He lives in the modern world; why pretend he doesn't? He is not a spiritual leader so much as a political leader. We just forget that because of his robes.

I find the news reader an idiot because I felt what he did was quite inappropriate
he should of told this one
Why can't the Dalai Lama vacuum under the sofa?
Because he has no attachments.

I'm not so sure he needed to pretend.
Do you think the Dali Lama is the sort to go into a pizza shop and order anything at all? With language issues (one and one probably aren't homonyms to him for starters) and the risk of assuming someone who can't go anywhere without security would know the first thing about a pizza with everything it was a really long shot that he'd get it.
Good gag as "walks into a bar" ones go though.
