hi there. ive been leanring with cards for just over 2 years now, its really great and yeah i can understand soem of the confusion. on how to start. i think the main tip i could give is to make sure u learn the basics well. and dont try and run. also like i was u can end up with many sleights but not many applications and effects. it really helps to slow down and get some great effects learnt. and come a time to start doing them and really start enjoying entertaining. dont overlook something because its simple as its often the simpler things when performed really well. that amaze. i never tried rrtcam. tho i heard its great. cos it has lots of magic in it too. but yeah just. trying to get the feel of the cards and comfortable . maybe practice shuffles while your watching tv. i always do. and it really does start to feel very natural. so u dont think about it anymore. its like haveing eyes in your fingers. u start to feel more and more control. a great shuffle to learn with the overhand 1 is the riffle shuffle (either table or inhands" because it has looks liek nice. has many applications for the beginner and magic, and also it great at breaking new cards in
i hope that helps
all the best
