I had forgotten about this due to being on holiday. Has no-one solved it yet? When do I have until, I will not have time to look at it until tonight once my daughter is in bed...

Ok, Mancunian Lee someway got what kind of code are we dealing with, but his guesses about the details are wrong. I'll let him post here his thought, if he wants.
Also, as a Christmas present, I will answer to a question you can pm to me. One question each, so choose well..

I thought I was close too :( I thought it was a book cipher with the key being the phantom of the opera!

I thought the 4 lines of code referred to a page/paragraph/line/word I've spent some hours on this and not even got close lol

Tonight I will consider this challenge officially close. As soon as I find the time I will post the solutions (and the confirmation that I actually donated the promised amount). I'm really sorry that nobody has been able to solve it. I'll post one final clue.

I wish I had the time and resources to work on this over the holiday, ive only had my tablet to browse on. When I get back home I will work through it, even if the answer has been posted.

I'm back to being stuck in hotels for a few more months now.

Shame this is closing as I would have time to do this now!
