First "paid" gig!

Postby Alfred Borden » Dec 4th, '11, 18:20

So did my 4th children's show today and received a bottle of Rioja at the end - I'm counting it as my first paid gig

Went down pretty well and a couple of children that had seen my show before were really eager to get up and take part which was great

Had my best heckler during my 6 card repeat, (he was 8 whereas the rest of the children were 4) - but I let him be my helper for my silks tied in tube routine which I knew he wouldn't work out so he was on my side after that!

Next gig will be performing for Son's pre-school class on the 19th then a Mum approached me today about doing a gig in January - woo hoo

Rocky has yet to make an appearance, not sure what to do with him really, I may introduce him in the new year

I think I might be doing something wrong though, as have been reading some other children's entertainers stuff and they can get an hour out of less material than I do and I can barely stretch 30 minutes....

It is a quality bottle as well, I'm usually a Shiraz man but will enjoy it I'm sure!

Thanks a lot everybody else for kinds words and encouragement

My Supervisor now wants me to do his daughter's birthday in January, might be interesting!
