Concealed Flint?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

On a personal note, I wouldn't do anything with a Ouija aside from an ungimmicked spirit session... That said, I could see it working as some kind of OTT horror routine.

As others have said, covering the thing in flammable liquids is a no-no on so many levels (mostly safety and secondly detection). If I wanted to introduce some kind of fire element with the Ouija, how about the specs writing a message to whatever 'dark forces' you're playing around with (Spirits, demons, Milliband brothers), switch these out for flash billets which are emptied onto the Ouija ceremoniously and then ignited with a thumb flasher etc?

I'd be willing to bet a curiously strong quid that the specs will recall the event as the board bursting into flames etc. anyway.

Someone mentioned the smell of lighter fluid. It strikes me (ho ho!) that generating a smell of gas/lighter fluid/petrol might be a spooky thing to do given certain stories one could tell. Adding flames seems to be detracting from the atmosphere somewhat.
