working cruise ships

Postby Ed Wood » Jan 18th, '12, 17:48

I'm in the very, very early stages of discussions regarding some cruise ship performances. Anyone got any advice......apart from don't get on a ship with an Italian captain :)

As an Italian, I would advise not to get on a ship with a dumb captain. We have a pretty long tradition of good captains, you know...

There are several useful online articles with advie on this topic, one is at http://www.fredbecker.com/cruise_ship_entertainment.htm and most of the advice is relevant to landlubbers as well!

Read your contract very carefully. Best to have a lawyer look it over. Otherwise there is a very good chance you are going to be teaching shuffle board when not performing.
