I'm wondering if anyone can give me some info or know how regarding the levitation that Chris angel does where her levitates a girl out doors in vegas.

Its a full levitation were he gets two of her friends to hold her, one at her shoulders and the other her feet. He then levitates her.

Its an awesome visual effect and i would love to add this kinda levitation to my show.

We can't tell you how this is done but chances are that it's a hired effect from one of the big US magic effects builders and suppliers.

Failing that, a decent camcorder, a good video editing package and a couple of mates who'll play along will do the job.

Here's a clue. Five letter word, begins with a 'W', and ends with 'ires'.

So W is the American prefix for aircraft, radio amateurs etc & IRES according to google stands for Internal Ribosome Entry Site. Yep, that helped a lot.

If you wish to replicate what Criss did on Tv (though I have no idea why you'd want to) look into a Siros Suspension, they are very rare and the last one's I saw sold for around $3,000.00.

The one Criss did cannot be done as you saw it on Tv he had stooges surrounding him, it's that simple.

I have just realised I have a DVD with this trick being taught on it..I'll look it out for you Russell.
I don't remember the exacts or which DVD it's on. But from memory it's called "Levitation." And there was some debate as to how exactly it should be done.

Its alright to have a stooge, just not a whole team, Dont see why he couldn't have just come up with a sort of body mechanism, knowing how I'm build I can definitely take that womans weight, IF that was me.

All good advice and i second all here. In particular The "W" nice touch with that.
So many variations come to play for many of these so called levitations.
Just think. A helicopter can be made invisible to the humanoids by special color paint and the right lighting
that mother nature provides, even a crane,so on and so on. Ok I'll stop here.
