Remember to Breathe - quick crimp tip

Postby Mr_Grue » Jan 20th, '12, 13:08

I generally have a devil of a time remembering which way up to have a playing card when putting in a breather crimp. Today, I came up with a simple way of remembering.

The card faces its destination.

In other words, if it faces down, it cuts to the bottom; if it faces up, it cuts to the top.

Nice and easy.

Simon Scott

If the spectator doesn't engage in the effect,
then the only thing left is the method.

Thanks for the tip! Sometimes when I'm showing someone a trick involving a crimp my nerves get the better of me and I end up losing the card in the deck because i've retained the wrong card during a shuffle.

I'll try to keep this in mind and it should help :)
