They are £5.99 in a local gadget type shop in the Bull Ring. So might be worth looking around.

You obviously never saw those stainless steel playing cards which a similar site (possibly the same one) were offering a while back.

I think they cost £999. :)

Personally, I am not sure you could do a lot with the 'invisible' cards in terms of magic. I've had a few ideas, but nothing which couldn't be done with regular cards and possibly a pair of scissors. There might well be something unique you can do with them, but in my experience, you need to get hold of these things and play around with them to discover unique properties.

They might make manipulation a little easier, because of the transparent margin round the index area, but the plastic might make handling slippery.

Ive been using my cards for the ambitious card effect, if cards are kept square, it looks absolutely amazing!

But, seen as they are only 2 index cornered, it limits some effects, because, as the name suggests, the are see through!

Hope that helps

Mark

Well, now, that's really, really sad...About two months back I saw a pack of these in a local book store. Now, don't throw anything at me, but I paid less than 2 dollars for them (or, about 1 pound, 25 p). I got a kick out of them, but then put them away because, while you could do various tricks with them, I doubt anyone will think that they are a real deck (they just look like a trick deck). But, paying 6 or 7 quid? That's insane.

The other night, at a magic get together, they were the rage at one table. They said that an ambitious routine couldn't be done, so I did a quick DL and proved them wrong...

Mike.

I've also seen them in the Gadget Shop as Happy Toad has said but was put off when I handled them. They just didn't look or feel right to me and would have been better (I thought) if standard card pips and pictures had been printed on them.

I'm sure that some will love them and good luck if you're one of those.

On the other hand, the gadget shop also sell a playboy deck which looked fairly decent in terms of quality. No doubt there could be some interesting routines around these too.

They are fantastic if you palm is a bit sloppy. Also if you can DL well it looks awesome as nobody would suspect.

Yes I paid £4.99 for mine from the gadget shop.
