standard bike cards are too big for me?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Just practice. You'll get used to them. A lot of us in the UK probably thought poker sized cards were too big. I think now that bridge sized cards are too small.

It doesn't really matter, but poker size seems to be more common, Bikes, Tally-Ho's, Aviators, etc...

I watched James Prince performing last week and he used the small bridge size cards so some professionals do use them and he was absolutely brilliant. Probably the best magician I've seen live.

Which is why I always use bridge cards - W H Smith own brand, usually. Here in the UK only magicians use Bikes.

(To be fair, I should point out that I've played more bridge than I've done card tricks.)

Those WH Smith ones are great. I always pick a few packs up from the Airport as I'm leaving the country to practise with at work. Nice and slippy when they are new and cheap enough to use for a week or so then throw away. They do double packs of them.

Back to the original post though, my hands are small too and I sometimes struggle with the Bikes but as has been mentioned above keep at them, it does get easier.

Shaun.

Poker size cards are two and a half inches across from edge to edge, bridge size cards are two and a quarter inches across from edge to edge, both are about a fifth of a millimeter from front to back. You don't have to just classic palm, you have options at your disposal to keep this tiny amount of mass out of sight.
