Hi, found you all through a quick google search. I'm a server at a local Japanese sushi house. Over the years I've always had both a homemade invisible and regular deck of Rider Backs with me at all times. The past few months I've been looking online at marked, stripper, and Svengali decks. Of course, finding any sort of real feedback is hard to do (obviously).
Anyway, I thought maybe I could ask you all what your thoughts are on pre-made decks... and which decks, from your experiences, are the least unnoticeable and most professional. I certainly don't wanto have to buy multiple decks to find which is right for me. From posted reviews, I find that a lot of these decks are just regular decks that are hand-cut, so quality varies with each deck. I wanna stay away from that.
I'd prefer to stay with the Rider Backs, or something else that is interchangeable.
I've marked a deck using a rolling ball pen and coated it with the same stuff for my ID and that seems to keep the ink from fading too quickly, while covering the gloss from the ink. Are there areas you would NOT mark? I think the flowers are ridiculously obvious and scratching looks so bad. If you have any ideas, feel free to PM me
