The Karnival of Kitsch 26/4/2012

Postby Lord Freddie » Mar 20th, '12, 12:12

Ladies and gents, there is another full-colour cabaret spectacular at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern hosted by myself and Holly Blue and featuring a wide array of comedy, magic, burlesque, mind reading and love fairies as well as cheesy duets from Holly and I and my regular yodelling spot and a reggae song about fat people. (Last time it was "Hey Fatty Bum Bum" - Phat Reggae for Fat People)

Dale Shrimpton and Voodoo Mick will be performing, so the magical side is much catered for. Consider them mysterious pineapples skewred next to all the cheese on a metaphorical cocktail stick.

Anyhow, it would be lovely to see some of you down there and of course to see those who came before back again. Full details are here:

As an additional attraction, Voodoo Mick will be performing close-up around the tables before the show, during the interval and after the show, so fans of magic will be well catered for on the night!

The atmosphere at Freddie's Karnival is superb... it's been too long since the last one so I'm looking forward to stepping into the doors of La-La-Land next Thursday and entertaining and also being entertained. Would be nice to see/meet some TM-ers there :) Also worth saying that as a venue, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern is second to none for that intimate cabaret setting. AND they serve meals at the bar! And posh crisps.

That's a shame Alec, would be great to see you again. The next one is on the 30th May.
Next weeks show has enchanted faerie burlesque, one-liner comedy, mind reading wonders (from Voodoo Mick), the amazing voice and songs of Philip Jeays, the cosmic vibes of Cate and The Love Fairies (who have to be seen to be believed!), conjuring(from Dale Shrimpton), yodelling, gorelesque (super gory burlesque which the bizzarists amongst you will love) and of course Holly and I delivering songs cheesier than a tramps socks. You will of course experience my dance moves.

As my good chum Mick said, the RVT is a wonderful venue. One of the best in London and certainly the greatest one that I have held my variety shows at. A fabulous, well kept, Victorian venue which has history seeping from every brick and the friendliest atmosphere you could wish for.

I'm there.

Do I need a ticket or can I pay on the door?

Really wishing I could be here! I have to work...

We already know how good the TM-ers are going to be... I'm wanting to see Gorelesque too! (And also see Mick's close up stuff!)

See you at the next one :)

The next one is on the 30th May, Chris, so it's not too long until we do it again!
