Name of effect please?

Postby taffy » May 21st, '12, 14:46

Hi guys,
I'm looking for the name of the effect where the performer has 4 or 5 volunteers on stage, where basically he predicts what card they will choose, which chair they will choose, and also which colour, I believe the prediction is located at the back of the chair if my memory is correct!

I think mr stockman does a variation of it!

Any help on this would be appreciated, cheers guys!

Impossible is nothing, if you only believe!

I'm not sure of the name of this but it's one of those effects which has been done in slightly different ways by quite a few people. Off the top of my head I would say the first person who might have this in print would be Luke Jermay, but if in doubt, I'm sure there would be something on this in the thirteen steps.

It's generally referred to as a "Chair Test" and seemingly every Mentalist under the sun has published one.

There are a great many chair tests in publication. Luca Volpe's "The Ultimate Chair Test Routine" is mighty fine example of such an effect.

There are more chair tests than you can shake a stick at. You might want to look at this recent thread too: ftopic42914.php
