11 years of Mike Danata's Magic Studio

Postby danata » Jun 23rd, '12, 13:01

Well, the big ten years of trading was LAST year & I did nothing to celebrate it because I actually MISSED it!! (I thought it was this year for some strange reason). I was going to do something big for all of my customers on the 10th year, so because it's actually 11 years now & not ten, I've done something even bigger!!!!

All details are on my Website News page, also on Twitter Plus Facebook etc................

Best Wishes

Congratulations Mike and well done on being original - an 11 year celebration is very unusual!

I was all geared up to do the 10 year thing with the "Big 10 offer", then someone else pointed out (on Facebook) that it was eleven years this year & not 10!!! So it has cost me an extra day to run the offer (11 instead of 10). Plus I've thrown in an extra £1 refund (along with the £10.00) making it £11. All this will make sense when you see the Newspage on my website, that's assuming I've made no more mistakes !!!

It really doesn't seem like eleven years, the time is just whizzing by.................

Congratulations Mike. If only all Magic shops were like yours, the World would be a better place.

I'm not sure about that, but it's very kind of you to say!

As I reflect upon the last 11 years, I would actually like to pose the following Question:

"As more & more magic shops are closing down, or going online only, how do you feel about it as a consumer?
Would you miss them, or would you not really be bothered, knowing that you can get everything you need on the internet anyway?"

Your thoughts would be appreciated...........

Abandon hope (of coming out with your bank account intact) all who enter here.

This shop is a veritable Aladdin's cave of magic. You have to thread through the piled high shelves to get to the counter. And when you get there you will find Mike ever ready to talk, demonstrate and of course sell.

Sadly I have to make most of my purchases on line but if I am ever in the Bournemouth area I treat myself to a visit to Mikes shop.

Heres to the next 11 years Mike!

Glad you enjoy your visits however!

Mike, I use Internet a lot but there is nothing better than walking in to a real Magic shop. Yours is something special. It would be a real shame if you closed and just did Internet, but totally understandable. What other Magic shop do you get Magic and Barry Manilow at the same time?

i'd love the chance to be able to come to a bricks and mortar shop, but dont have the option.

Ive only ever bought magic online (apart from one visit to a cart at covent garden)

i imagine seeing stuff demo'd for real and being able to have advice from working pros would have cost me a lot more cash though so maybe its better this way lol.
