Spec cuts to their thought of card

Postby Aza » Jul 30th, '12, 23:20

Ok guys,

I want to do something, probably been done a million times, but i would like to let them have a "free choice" of card, possibly a mental force, if i can get better at it, but i want them to be able to cut to their thought of card

Any thoughts?

Much love

Have a look in Corinda, I know there's a little something in there that you could use. :D

There is a video someone of Blaine performing something very similar.

"Name a card..." "King of Diamonds" "Cut somewhere around the middle..."

They cut straight to the named card. It's a variation of The Trick That Cannot Be Explained by Vernon and is published in Mnemonica by Tamariz.

Also take a look at Knock Out Prediction by Wayne Fox. Whilst not the exact effect mentioned, it's not far off.

Similarly, a routine I used to perform goes something like...They name a card...you place the deck in front of them...they flick off a portion of the cards which flips over and face up is their card...inspirations again from Blaine and methodology linked to Pit Hardling.

Using a Mem Deck and a breather and some very subtle work...this is quite achievable.

Rather than Knock Out Prediction I'd suggest paramiracles by Ted Lesley. Much better value

Stack, estimate, pass, peek, count, pass, force.

Not that I can do it myself but it's a technique my favourite cardician once explained to me.

Have 52 different 1 way decks in your pockets, or alternatively 26 different 2 way decks in your pockets, or if you haven't many pockets try 18 different 3 way decks in your pockets. Keep the pace up though and don't pause.

What about getting it to the top an either using a Kriss Kross or Cut Deeper?

I agree. The simple solutions are sometimes the best. Depend on the tempo of the effect as to whether I'd use those
