* warning ravings of a lunatic follows *

anyone else had any dealings with this company, please feel free to contact me as this is the type of company that gives internet based companys the bad rep they curently have and effects non uk based magic sites that may have a longer turnaround due to product sourcing or special oprdering.

this canadian company, the canadians i have great respect for, are hiding behind there american banks and are currently 2 weeks overdue on the 5, count that again 5 week delivery sheduel.
now I've had specialist coins that take around 3-4 weeks to be made and shipped so I'm fairly happy with longer waits for delivery when needed.

I'm just trying to get an idea of the scale of this companys blatent false advertising and to hopefully stop anyone else from falling into this trap, there are plenty of people online already, or similar trap.

hopefully there are no magic companys doing this to our community, its not the loss of money or the days waiting in for deliverys or the fact that I recomended them to some of my silver surfer friends, fortunatly the £300+ pounds worth of orders have been recinded, no its the betrayal knowing the couldn't fill the order but are happy to take my money and get interest off of it all the time it will take my credit company to get it back, if they can.

personaly I intend to send them e-mails daily ast his is the only way you can contact them and encourage any one else egreved by them to do the same, its late... I'm baking hot.... and I'm a tad barking this evening and just mad enough to send them daily e-mails.... for the govenment to read.... we know there already doing it don't we. :D
because the company have stopped reading them as is the modus operandi, anyway if youv'e been caught and had no joy... contact me or reply here.... if the mods feel it apropiate. :)

Putting "tvdvdboxset.co.uk complaints" into google without the quotes reveals that they are indeed ripping people off. I think the best thing is to report them to Trading Standards.

since i threatened to bad mouth them on other websites they have got back to me all beit in a almost autoresponse manner to tell me that my item will turn up tuesday ands if it dosnt then it will be expressed to me, since this is exactly what other customers have recieved I have instructed my credit card to recover the money and institute compensation for lost work hours etc, etc.
I have also contacted the tbaa webite and imformed them of the companys claims and change of web address and asked them if they can source the touched by an angel boxed set I paid for in uk format, hopefully they won't be pleased by the companys actions, much better for an american company to take on another american /canadian company, let there lawyers battle it out.
when i hear back from the touched foundation I'll keep you updated, anyone else hopeing to get older serieses please be aware that skydvd,co.uk will not suply you the products you pay for as they used to be tvbox set.

All our products are 100% compatible worldwide

If that's true, then they're selling bootlegs as most TV boxsets will be region coded at least.

Some of the series they are selling box sets for haven't been released on DVD so they probably are bootlegs.

On Ebay you see all manner of things from various Far Eastern European countries that are so cheap they have to be bootlegs from a torrent.

Talk to your bank or credit card company and make sure they are aware of this scam. They may not be able to get the money back but it's worth a try.

today after nearly ten weeks i recieved a package of three plastic boxes filled with purple backed dvds and poorly photocopied covers, will see later if they actualy contain any episodes of touched and if they are uk conversions should make a nice report too the touched foundation who own all the copywrites.
my card company was doubtfull they could secure a refund due to the way the company was structured but it does seem that the more e-mails you send the greater chance you have of at least getting a bootleg copy of what you wanted. :|

hope you get some result, it does seem daily e-mails get a result of sorts and you will need to suply your e-mails too the credit card company too show youv'e tried to resolve the issue, it does seem though the customer is never presumed to be right and thease companys get away with ripping off customers and changing there names to evade procecution, consumer rights my foot. :)
