OM Box

Postby Dr Percival RP Pound » Aug 13th, '12, 19:47

My good friends, I'm currently doing some work with the rather wonderful OM Box and was hopeful that you fine people could offer me some assistance. I have Mr Theo Annemann's explaination of the box as well as the variation that is described in Mind, Myth and Magick but these are the only works that I seem to have on the device. I was hoping that it'd be possible for a learned individual to point me in the direction of any other resources that contain ideas on the handling or design of the box. I'm sure that there must be a wealth of knowledge out there on such a well known and oft used device that I'm at present unaware of.

You may have joined way after the member IAIN, (Iain Dunford) left...but he recently posted a very very normal looking one he made out of some commonplace cardboard boxes...looked so innocent.
Will ask if he knows anything.

I'm pretty sure that Jack Kent Tillar has some good ideas on them somewhere but can't quite find it at the moment.

Lenoir, I have crossed paths with Iain Dunford and would be very interested in his thoughts on the box. A search of Talk Magic didn't uncover anything from him.

Lady of Mystery, many thanks for the tip off with regards to Mr Tillar. I do have a number of his works, I don't recall a mention of the OM Box but I'll be sure to give them another look over.

I didn't know what an OM box was... so I Googled it.

[Sorry, link removed as it is exposure]

Surely this can't be right? Google books exposing secrets.

Sorry, I've removed the link above because it is exposure. The reference was for Henning Nelms Magic and Showmanship.

Many thanks once again, Mr Nelms' book is indeed in my library so I shall take a look through it.
