Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I just like to say..

First off I would like to say a big thank you to all those who offered me so much help and advice regarding what to do at my wedding last November, especially Mandrake, Magicdiscoman, Banannafish, Seige, the mog and Boywonder.

Secondly let me say that it all went wonderfully and Mrs SlipperyPenguin was most pleased with my limited skills..

During my speach I did the cut and restored rope/sliding love knot thing (thanks Mandrake and MagicDiscoMan) and the silk to rose (from Practical Magic who were extremely helpful..).

I did do a bit of table hopping (well more walking, talking and "have you seen this.." sorta table hoping..) throughout the evening doing NFW, Twisting the aces, a simple version of the Ambitious card, double backed etc.. simple stuff that I practiced until I could do them in my sleep. It worked well as we had a "fun" casino in the evening (for the entertainment) and the card stuff seemed to fit in with that..

Thirdly.. let me appologise for not thanking you all sooner.. but I have had a very hectic month and a half since them and haven't had the time to do anything (No.. it wasn't a divorce !) which is why I have been absent from here for a while.

Anyway.. I'd just like to say thank you again to all those who offered their time, services, knowledge, advice and encouragement.

Thankyou

Slippery

We just assumed it was because of the Honeymoon and you were busy impressing Mrs SP. with your not so limited skills  ! Congrats again, pleased to hear it all went well!

i think i can speek for all when i say we are all happy we copuld make your special day that bit more special, it always warms my heart when someone tells me that some magic i did had a lasting effect on them thats why i do kids parties, that one moment is worth years of agro.

lets hope ms p gets used to being a magic widow and can put up with draws of cards and magic parafinelia, we wish you all luck and happiness and remember even if life gets you down you have the gift to lift someonelse with your magic, so you will never be alone, even in a mass of people.
