Music stands

Postby Ed Wood » Sep 17th, '12, 22:54

Anyone recommend a music stand that can be converted to a table. I need something light weight, fold-able and with a bracket that can be converted from the music holder to attach to the table top. Oh, and something cheap as I need six of them. If anyone knows of anything that fits the bill that can be found on the internet that would be perfect. The music shops near me only sell expensive ones. Amazon has a few for around £10 each but I can't be sure if the bracket is removable to convert to a table.
Thanks,
Ed

Some people mention the type of thing I'm after. I'm not so fussed about sturdiness though as I'm not actually putting a table on top of the stand. Just need a good light weight stand with an easily converted bracket at the top. So many on Amazon for about £10, just don't want to invest in one without knowing if it will work.

The Works were selling music stands last year for about a tenner, just about good enough to hold sheets of music but would also hold a table top provided it was lightweight, thin ply or hardboard, or perhaps plastic sheet.

EDIT: Available Online for £7.99 plus P&P- see http://www.theworks.co.uk/Musicians-Fol ... 18990.html

That looks perfect. I'll pop into the works in a minute and see if they have any in stock
