Help with naming a card move

Postby Relish » Nov 28th, '12, 13:22

Theres a move i've been using recently where two cards are left sticking out of the short end of a deck, with one card in the deck between them.

By holding the deck by the long edges and applying a bit of pressure, you can push these cards into the deck with your other hand and it causes the one that is sandwiched between them to be pushed out of the other end of the deck.

Does anyone know anything about this move, (name, history etc)?

Thanks for any help

It sounds like the one hand plunger move to me (there is also a two hand version) not sure who invented it but you'll find it in 'Expert Card Technique'.

It is the "plunger" move by Jack Mcmillen.

As Pickman pointed out it can be found in Expert Card Technique. The one you describe is the two hand version though, not one handed. In the one handed version the cards are bent, which isn't mentioned in your description.

Both handlings are described in the context of two Rising Card effects, credited to Frederick Braue (in ECT).
