Childrens magic.

Postby Johnny Wizz » Jan 11th, '13, 16:03

I have Seriously Silly and Trevor Lewis's Party Pieces but I am still searching for a really good book with childrens magic in it. I would take a DVD even though I prefer the written word if there was something that fitted the bill.

I would also like to find a book that has instructions for making childrens magic tricks.

Any advice TMrs?

John

Check out Practical Magic (no, not that film with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman!) - they specialise in magic for children. Website is http://www.practical-magic.com/ . They're usually at Blackpool as well.

Ah yes, I have seen them at Blackpool, I can see myself spending some time at their stand this year. I particularly like their Ben in a Basket puppet effect, not actually magic but good kids stuf.

Thanks for the pointer

Kalr Fulves wrote a book, Easy to do magic tricks for children - £3.99 from Amazon. Might contain some useful ideas. I've ordered a copy so will be happy to let you know what's in it etc.

Practical Magic is a perfect site for Childrens entertaining so that's a good call. Also, I would check out anything to do with Tommy James. I don't think he has released a book but at a push he has a few DVD's out.
