I just voted a 'yes' to this poll, because I have Mercuring, and it's phenomenal.

OK, so it's not the easiest effect to perform, but from the few reactions I've had so far, I'd say that even after a few hours practice in front of the TV, I've already managed to fool some of my most hardened critics!

I will wholeheartedly give the Mercuring a 10/10, but just bear in mind that it's not an 'out the box' effect... it will take confidence, faith and a lot of practice for it to work.

and if you have big fingers they haven't got one big enough for you. I hear they might have in the future, but you will have to wait.

That is true... but I have relatively big hands, and it works fine. Plus, the 'Larger' version is actually on the site, so it must be imminent!

BUT ITS DEFINATELY A GIMICK RIGHT like scotch and soda is a gimmick rather than a process like an emsley. :?:

i don't mind puting in the work but i supose it would be difficult to quatify the amount of work needed. :?:

Answer: Yes and no. It's a gimmick in as much that you receive custom made props with the effect. But it's also a process too. The two can't really be separated.

The actual ring which is supplied is a solid, machined aluminium ring. It can be handed out, and thoroughly inspected BEFORE and AFTER.

It is the sleights involved, plus a little bit of confidence, which makes the effect so convincing.

I have large hands, very large and to give you some perspective the bang ring from a set of Marvin's dymanic coins (10p version just in case there are any others) is a comfortable fit for my ring finger.

I therefore doubt that even the large ring that is advertised will fit me so my question is to ask if this effect can / could be performed on someone elses fingers, or would this give the secret away?

Therefore, I think the Large version may be big enough...

And yes, there is a phase of the routine which happens on the spectator's own hand.
