Which? DVD - Sankey's Revolutionary Cards

Postby katrielalex » Feb 6th, '05, 17:00

Is this about the right level for me? I know some basic sleights (D.L. kind of thing) but I was looking to go for some more advanced ones. I don't really have much card experience - I went into gimmicks for a while but I'd like to learn some tricks to do with a regular deck?

Thanks,

Kati

Maybe not?

I was looking at some reviews for the Sankey, and a few say that the DVD is not worth the price of almost double a standard magic DVD. Maybe I should go for something by Oz (Born 2 Perform, for example)?

Thanks,

Kati

personally id recommend the "Easy to master card miracle" series with Michael Ammar... plenty to keep beginner to medium levels of expertise happy

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

I can recommend the Oz Pearlman DVD for a beginner.

Whilst knowing some of the basics such as a DL kind of thing....... what is sometimes overlooked by the beginer, depending on the source of learning is the full technique and the misdirection that accompanies a particular move. This DVD will teach a good technique with each taught sleight and will teach in a way that is fairly easy to learn - with practice of course.

I can't comment on any of the Sankey DVD's as I haven't seen these.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Thanks - I'm now leaning towards the Oz Pearlman as that seems to have got good reviews.
