PK Ring and Pacemaker

Postby Merlynof09 » Mar 19th, '13, 21:38

I have a pacemaker inplant, and as of late I have found a floating effect that uses a PK Ring to make it work and was just wondering if there is a danger with the combination of PK Ring and Pacemaker???

Yes. There is a danger, some pacemakers can be affected by the M***ETISM of the ring and can be set out of rythm. You are best off seeing your GP or consultant and discussing it so as to get proper medical advice. Any answer on here really should be ignored as we're magicians and know magic your question is really more medical and need a medical expert. If one of us were to disagree with my answer and said go ahead it's fine and you were to drop dead because of the PK ring affecting the pacemaker, think of the burden put on the member. It wouldn't be fair.

Mmmm...yes; to be fair, I'd highly doubt that a PK ring would interfere with a Pacemaker.

I know that the M5 and other, far more powerful Neo types, have the *potential*, and so come with a warning, but a ring really won't have the power needed to penetrate the body anywhere near enough to cause any issues with a pacemaker.

That said, if you're at all worried, do some further research, or don't use it

I take it you have a sub-dermal implant. There is absolutely no problem with a PK ring near a pacemaker. They're just not that magnetic, and pacemakers are not made from ferrous materials. Ask your specialist at your next check up.
