I have been doing magic for 8/9 months now so as you would expect I'm no professional or anything of any decent standard. I just try my best to practice hard and make magic entertaining. I want to join my local magic club however I do not know if you have to be a certain skill level because I am lowly skilled to be honest!

Ask them. Some clubs have an audition some don't. What they mostly will be looking for is to see that you are serious about magic not how skilled you are.

Join the club. Most do have some sort of rite of initialization but I've belonged to a few and I've never seen anyone turned away do to lack of skill.

Things to remember. Magic clubs are usually pretty cliquish, but you can usually break into the clique. Many memebers don't actually perform. Not everyone is very good so be careful who you take advice from. However it does make for a fun evening. You will get out of it what you put into it. And if you find one person you can trust bounce ideas around with, etc then you are ahead.

Don't be put off by the audition as most clubs let you go along a few times first. Then if you want to join the option is yours? They are great fun and a great way to learn.
