This isn't entirely magic related, but here goes.

I had a girlfriend of about 3 months. She knew I did magic tricks and I did a small performance to "impress" her(if you know what I mean). Anyways.....It did'nt go according to plan. She went a bit mad and said she would dump me if I didn't tell her how Aces in their Faces was done. So I said go ahead(Thinking she wouldn't)

Now I don't have a girlfriend I suppose it's for the better.. Just be careful people...Magic can bring you happiness, but can make you depressed aswell

You should have told her to get naked and you'll show her some real magic.

You da man, never reveal a secret. That's one thing that separates the serious ones from the dabblers.

Mine helps me by giving hints.
I can try new effects on her, and get good advise
(to improve invisibility) before I use it outdoors!

My advise: Let (Serious) girlfriend/wifes in, let
dates/one night stands not in (unless u get good sex out of it!)

No girlfriend. I am married. I rarely try effects on my wife because I think she is a bit jaded to magic by now and already knows how many things work. Can't keep her out of my extensive magic library . In any case, I don't think revealing secrets to a spouse is a big deal IF it's a secret to a trick that you are performing. I don't reveal secrets to tricks to my wife that OTHER performers do. She rarely wants to know how things work when she is fooled these days anyway as she prefers to enjoy the mystery. She is way cool about that kind of stuff. I practice all the time so she knows a lot about sleights already.

Sometimes my girlfriend gets bored to, but
if she doesn't know the secret, she will try
hard to figure it out. Sometimes when we see other magician on tv, she spots things I even didn't, like thumbs.

Never reveal a secret to anyone! But when they see lots of magic, like girlfriends/wifes do, they will develop a keen eye!

paul daniel's wife a former box jumper herself, never asked paul how a trick is done, though she knows most anyway.
on the odd acassion she has asked, paul just say's i dont ask you how to plea (some balet thing), so dont ask me.
making your wife your assistant is another way to get it out of there system.
and if they get hooked you have to sorces of income to go down the pub with .
i do a trick for a girlfriend usualy a write a name on a piece of paper and them tear it up.
after the waiter has brought the bill(hint hint). (reference jonathan creek).
i let her in on the trick, she is none to impressed.
then i do a good trick and say magic is about the effect not the secret,
if shees the right partner for you you'll know.
