Does anyone have any suggestions about including matches and cigs in a routine. What types of effects do you use? How does it work for you? Where did you find the info on it? Etc.......

There's also an effect called "Trio" out sold by magic shop that is three cigarette tricks by Freddy Marlowe.

I am not a great fan of cigarette magic, although there is reams of material on the subject. Scarne's book of magic for example has vast numbers of them. I guess if you smoke though it's ideal for impromptu magic.

And I agree with Goldfish, Ron Jaxon's Outsmokin is a great effect - even if you dont smoke...

Since you can perform magic with almost any thing... you could use your imagination for cigarettes.
Most coin sleights might work with cigarettes (thumb palmed spider vanish... etc.)
You can break and restore a cigarette (with extra piece)... etc.

Really a tone of ideas. I like to change a cigarette into a half dollar before my single coin routine !!!

The downside as I see it, is that it's more for stage than for close up and recommends that the specs are at least six feet away. Still looks good though

Just as an aside .....not really a 'magic' trick, but always gets a giggle or 'ewwww gross' but here is a cigarette vanish with a difference! (different because everyone sees where it goes....)

Get a King size cigarette and pop it in your mouth as if you are ready to light it (as you will see DON'T try this when it is lit!! ). Make sure at this point that your lips are completely dry. Then with a long and sharp suck in the cigarette will pop 'inside' your mouth. If you suck hard enough it will go right in (oooerrrr missus) and then to finish push it back out with a flick of the tongue!

You can then go on and light up or whatver as the cigarette will be dry (ish)!

If you ask someone for a light, as they offer the lighter up suck the ciggy inside.....often amuses!
