I've just come back form Blackpool Convention and loved it.
I'm thinking about going to The International Magic Convention, but i was wondering if it's any good. It's more expensive, for less days...
Has anyone ever been to one of these before?
What kind of things do they put on?
Is it good value for money?
Do you know who will be performing / lecturing this year?
Anyone planning on going to this this year?
What about accomadation, is that easy or difficult to organise for this convention?
Anything else worth adding?
Hope you can help.
Many Thanks.

I went to 2 international conventions in 1999 and 2000 (if I remember rightly)
They always have very good lectures on, but both times when I went it was very poorly organised. To get a decent seat for the lectures you would have to go early and stay there - on the saturday we had to grab at seat as soon as it opened (about 9ish) and were sat there constant until the competition and lectures finished at midnight.
Don't know if it has changed since - but this has put me off going since
hope this is helpful
