I have seen this trick done by two magicians one is Gerry Griffin and the other is brad Christian. The effect is put a coin on top of a deck and wave your hands over the deck, the card changes and the coin remains in the same place. Does anyone know the name of this trick or where I could find some information on how its done. Thanks alot here a few links that lead to demo videos that show the trick.

Usually this site isn't big on helping reveal secrets.

Tricks are understandably expensive and many of us can't afford various effects. However, If you are willing to put some effort to figuring it out, I would definately reccomend a local library or two. I've heard of the ninja series being in a public library (okay, a college library) and think that you would learn several new tricks, possibly better effects, just looking for this one.

Secrets are fun to know but need to remain secrets. It wouldn't be magic if the magician told you how it was done.

PS once you learn the secret please don't tell anyone. The pleasures of magic comes from secrets being known to the select few willing to look for them. this means YOU will get more out of your newfound knowledge if you don't share it indiscriminately.

SO: I'm assuming the Zany card gimmick will help

That's correct, and the effect is called "Impossible Card Vanish"

I don't think it is available as a stand alone effect though.
