Problem with lead replacement

Postby johnnyryanUK » Jul 27th, '13, 16:16

I have just purchased my Vernet Bug Writer S**** G******. The only problem is because I have practiced so much the lead has nearly dissapeared. In the instructions Vernet offers me places online to 'buy' replacement lead but there isn't an opportunity to purchase the lead recommended. Has anyone else had this problem? Any places someone can direct me to for purchasing the correct lead (the right millimeters etc).

Many thanks,

Johnny

Pencils are cheap, buy a couple of different types you'll find one that fits. Use a strong knife to remove the wood.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I find that art shops are useful for this. You can buy leads for propelling pencils in many sizes and 'hardnesses'. It saves on stripping away the wood from a pencil too :)

get some of those disposable propelling pencils, with the little plastic pieces, and the leads are cut to size, and shaped. Mind you, A tip.. Literally! If you make a small hole in a T.T you can insert one of these in it, and you have a very simple effective writer.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I know the things you mean, Dale. Children often use them. They're not really "propelling" because, if I am thinking of the same thing, they are made up of individual little pencils that click together.

They are also excellent chocking hazards :)
