Hello to all.

Just a quick(ish) post to introduce myself.
I am a (near) 50 year old, with an hour or two between working.
I load/unload lorries and have to wait up to two hours between vehicles coming in/out. I got bored reading, so purchased a pack of cards to play patience etc...Scoured the internet for solo card games.....Which led onto card tricks........and POW. HOOKED....

So at the monent I am a total novice just 'fooling' drivers, but I like the idea of entertaining. I was a photographer (Studio / wedding etc) for over twenty years, so I am at ease 'controlling' up to 400 people!!!
But modern technology got the better of me......Digital stuff and all that!!!! (I still do studio portraits for various groups, church, scouts, etc,
probably because I get a kick out of 'performing' -dont we all-)!!

So, thanks to you guys, I've purchased quite a few recommended card tricks and Royals Road To Card Magic. Now it's PRACTICE..PRACTICE...PRACTICE....PRACTICE.

I will be dropping in and out of the forums to pick your brains, and, from what I've read so far, there is some excellent information in here.

Thanks for the time every one has spent posting. I hope I can share my experiences with you, and put something back.

Hi Seajay,

We have a bit in common, I too have photographed weddings for over 20 yrs, but as an amateur, mostly for folks at work. Still do. Use a Bronny SQ.

Got into magic seriously in 1990 after having several goes in my childhood and never fully getting there.

Welcome to the forum :D
