Hello,

I am an amatuer hobbyist magician kind of person currently residing in Manchester, UK. Having always been interested in the art of magic, I have recently decided to pursue my passion more seriously, with a mid term goal of performing in public (rather than just friends and family) (for the first time)).

I am hoping to find help and advice on performing (I can get a trick down very well, however I feel I lack a good patter), selling my magic i.e. how to approach restaurants to get a gig etc, plus to meet fellow magicians!

Hello Drew I'm also new to the site. I've found just going out to a few pubs gets you over the nerves of performing to people. even if you just nail one good card trick something like Triumph (there are many variations of this trick so just find one that suits you best) and do it to different people that look half friendly enough to have a complete stranger walk up to them.
Being in a band i get to go round lots of pubs so i see different people alot of the time and get lots of enjoyment doing tricks for strangers.
