Spirit Glass

Postby Stephen Ward » Apr 15th, '05, 12:12

The Effect

Two cards (or just one) are choosen from a shuffled deck. You then produce a 2" dia glass disk and say that this disk contains a spirit that can read minds. You breath on the glass (or the spectator can do it) and a picture of the card appears on the glass and slowly fades away.

Cost

£12.50 from Tommy Cooper magic in Blackpool (not listed on the website you need to ask for it) or try your fav dealer.

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

I saw this and thought it was rather cool and after using in the real world i can tell you that it gets a great reaction. The trick is very simple to do. All you need is a deck of cards and the ability to perform a simple force (any force). The glass comes in a carrying case and you also get three good routines with it. My favourite is the routine with the flash paper (this looks really weird!)

A nice well made trick that everyone should be able to perform with ease.

Overall

10/10 seems expensive but this is well worth it
