The Deja Vu Deck -David Regal

Postby Stephen Ward » Apr 16th, '05, 17:38

The Effect

You ask someone to think of any playing card and name that card. You then take a deck of cards out of your pocket and claim to be able to make their choosen card vanish from the deck. When you take the cards out you explain that the magic must have been more powerful than you thought as all the cards have turned blank! You then take one of the blank cards and ask the spectator to hold that card without looking at it. When they do look at the blank card it has changed into their choosen card.

Cost

Average price £15 from most major suppliers (JB magic etc).

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

2-3 depending on your confidence

Review

I really like this trick it is a good strolling piece for all bookings. You can also make this product by buying David's book. The package comes with full instructions and patter and you also get the two special decks of cards. I found this very easy to use and it really gets a good reaction from people. David himself still uses this effect in his act. The spectator can really think of any card they wish.

Overall

8/10
