I'm definately going - will post off my forms and things as soon as possible.
Don't even know any of the line-up yet, but it's bound to be brilliant!!

Last year...I was hanging around, the close-up tables after the 3rd Session...and when everyone had left, there was a couple of us, sitting down...having the 4th Close-up Session (taking it in turns)!! We had about an hour and a half...then we went to get something to eat quick, before the Sunday Gala Show. It was clashing with a lecture, i think, though!!

A TalkMagic Lunch/Drink!! is a great idea...we could just meet in the Pub, in the evening...or if we all get there early, and meet on the first day before registration...that way, we'll learn some faces and names to look out for during the weekend. Either that or we should all wear a TM sticker/badge!!

Yeah last year was fantastic.

My mother was meant to take me but she was diagnosed with Skin Cancer a month before and had to go in for an opperation that weekend. All the people from her favorite show, undercover magic, signed a get well soon card for her though - Kerry sent it to Max Somerset to sign and we got it a week later :D Great people.

The line-up will be announced on their site as part of the Convention Brochure in due course but there are usually changes and additions almost up to the weekend of the convention.

If my mate wants to go, I'll be going. How about an Avery label sticker under your Blackpool badge saying 'TM member, Tenko' or whatever 8)

We could do that...

I'm probably going so I wouldn't mind meeting up with someone...:).

It'd be my first convention, so if you see some kid standing in the middle looking lost, that'd be me :).

MMM I know what you mean about travel when your 14 - when I was trying to get to the eastborune convention a while back it was hell. But you should be able to get a cheap travel ticket so it's not all bad.

Get your mum or a friend to come with you, maybe even the whole family. Last time I went my mother was Ill so my sister and her boyfriend came with me.

As far as I recall we managed to get a train most of the way up there and then a small northern (smelt of toilets) train for the last 30 minuet stretch. From beyond that you can easily catch a taxi.
There are lots of cheap hotels next to the winter gardens so walking to the convention each day is fairly easy and if it's dark you can always get a friend to walk you back to the hotel.

Trust me mate - it's well worth it! For someone your age I think travel would be just something like £20. And you will find plenty of friends and family who shouldnt mind going to blackpool because they can visit the shops and the beach.

No going this year - best advice i can give you is get a program and ensure you get to see ALL the performers you want to see - because sometimes you may miss a masterclass or something special because of overlaps or clashes in program - there is a hell of a lot going on.

As for shopping theres 3 or 4 areas where dealer dems are happening and selling, check them out when ya got nothing better to do, but try to keep your big buys until the end - you just might grab a real bargain (afterall they have to cart all that stuff back home) and they dont really want too, a sale is a sale and usually cheaper on the Sunday!

Apart from that just enjoy soak up all you can chat and hobnob with the stars of magic, and always be polite - no matter how much you think you know
