New magician

Postby Johnny Wizz » May 11th, '05, 11:12

I am a newbie to magic, I bought a few tricks a year ago to pad out my grand daughters birthday party. That was enough to hook me.

I have only just found this site and think it is brilliant. I am ready to move forward now and learn some real tricks. To that end, on the advice to another new magician I found in here I have bought the Royal Road to Card Magic and a couple of Bicycle packs. I added to my order with a the book Modern Coin Magic.

I have just started to read the Royal Road and I am very impressed. I thought I knew how to do a basic overhand shuffle! I am still trying to get my head round the correct grip!

I boiught these items from Magic Box and was very impressed with the service. I ordered them late on Friday afternoon and the Parcel was with me on Monday morning

Hi Johnny and welcome to the Forum.

looks like you've started in the right place as som many people try to get too complicated far too soon. You've made a good purchase there!

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
