Agree!

I view corporate work differently from other forms of magic. The company that is thinking of hiring you are usually extremely conscious of their image and will be ensuring as far as they can that anyone associated with their trade stand will enhance their products and corporate reputation. Most organisations spend serious money on their corporate image so you should be aware of this. Always find out as much as you can about your client in advnace and NEVEr be afraid to ask them for information that you can use to their advantage.

In this arena there is little or no margin for error and you MUST be a 'natural' with people and accept that the punter is always right, even if they aren't. No-one's going to thank you, least book you again for pointing out that the MD of their biggest customer is a moron because he can't shuffle a deck (and boy, have I met a few moron's in my time).

Having Tipsy the Magician performing on their trade stand will pehaps give the impression that you've had one too many, even before anyone see's you  Using your real name will speak volumes in terms of professionalism (unless you're booked by the Inland Revenue of course).

Just out of interest, I went to a trade show a few weeks ago at the NEC in Birmingham (IFSEC) and saw a magician on a trade stand (Securit Ltd). Was wondering if he was a TM member?

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Oh it was a joke was it?
It almost looks like you were just avoiding the question, and it certainly wasn't funny which is the usual goal of a joke. So not being funny and having no smiley face makes it difficult to know it's a joke.
I won't continue this here, you have crossed the line mate.

First I would like to take the opportunity to apologise to Happy Toad, as the above sentence was uncalled for. It wasn’t meant to be written in the context in sounds.

I understand that the writing the following : didn’t you know that a Magician never reveals his secrets? I’m surprised you asked, without putting any smiley faces etc sounds a bit rude. This was meant as a joke, and not to be taken seriously. I guess I learnt to write things clearer next time, and add the relevant symbols to relate to the context the words are meant to relate.

I hope you accept my apology and not full out over something that shouldn’t of turned into anything serious.

I was reading this and thinking about it went into the room where my kids were watching television.

"hey kids," I cried out jovially. "what's a good stage name?" Without flinching, missing the television in any way, or thinking, baclk came the retort "Well fargo!"

I'm obviously too good for this place!
