Hello Magical people,
I may sound like an idiot for not knowing the actual name of this effect (and I'm sure I should) but I have been trying to track down the explanation and instruction for a certain card effect that I can only describe as a 'travelling card' trick, I'm sure you probably already know the one I'm talking about, but just in case the effect basically starts with the magician/performer giving two volunteers some cards to hold onto, say for example maybe 10 cards each, and they are to hold onto them securely so that no one could touch them or interfere with them, then one spectator is asked to name a number (this but might not be in the trick, but I think its something like this) and the same number of cards mysteriously travel from their pack of cards to the other spectators pack of cards!! I have seen this effect performed by many television magicians and famous performers, but do not know the name of the effect really. Mac King does this effect under the premise of using a 'cloak of invisibility', it is hilarious and very magical at the same time as he gets the volunteers to put the cards in their underwear so that no one can get to the cards, yet the when the volunteer counts the cards, there are either cards missing or more cards by the exact number named!
Please help me to locate the instruction on how to perform this effect as I would love to add my own touches to it and add it to my repertoire, so if you know of this effect and what its actual name is, let me know!!
Thanks in advance,
Ben.
