a Magician should not reveal his secrets to anyone. Except other MAGICIANs.

You're quite right Mark.

However, the important word there is 'his' (and this also assumes 'hers' if anyone questions it) so I could quite legally and cheerfully reveal my secrets but not anyone else's. And that's the point - you're asking for someone else's secrets which we can't, and won't, give out because they are not our property. If the originator chooses to sell their secrets then that's up to them and it's also up to you to decide if you want to pay for such secrets.

It should be pretty obivous for any person. Just imaginge yourself, coming up with a great idea, a marvellous trick, a one of a kind, a killer ! But what happens? One guy buys it, and trades it off to everyone in all magic circles. How would YOU feel?

Sorry I f I offended anyone. I'm just a little bit miffed becuase how is any one going to learn the art and become a great magician if he like cant learn the tricks. Its something that you have to be taught or teach your self. as for me I am not like the rest of you I can afford to buy a book or dvd or anything for that matter. In fact I have two decks of cards one is a stupid cheapthing that has 43 cards in it and my good deck has 44 cards and one of them is almost torn in half cuase they have been handled som much. And I cant afford to buy a new one . That is the reason why I am asking. Im not asking so I can go out and blurt out the secrets to everyone in the world. Im just trying to Learn.

So Im sorry for being a pest.

Just one question: What books teach the invisible palm? Because it really looks like a really nice trick! :D

Does Expert Card Techinique by Jean Hugard teach it? Because I'm planning on getting that book.

Many Thanks

shouldn't all kinds of palming be invisible? i mean, it won't be much of a trick if your spectator can see you palming the card O.O

or is there really a sleight called invisible palm?

my first post lolz.

No. The invisible palm isn't a sleight, it's a routine. Watch the video and you'll see :)...

hey rune.. shoot i just joined the forums just to comment on how well you did the invisible palm... and you know what? the basic idea and principle is there, and how you managed to pull it off is completely flawless... :)

heheh.. like some other people on the forums.. i liked how you disappeared the last ace too.. very sneaky  had to play it in slo-mo just to make sure  haha... but yeah... it's not a hard trick to learn. it's just definitely on your skills of handling cards and how well you can pull it off.. I'm still practicing to get it right. but yeah.. great job!!! 8)

oh yeah... and Mark.. if you don't get the trick by now.. wow.. i feel sorry for you man.. i had just first seen this trick a few days ago and figured it out in minutes.. (it's a magician thing.. you GOTTA KNOW BASICS! )

good point made - If you're starting with cards then YOU'VE GOT TO LEARN THE BASICS!

There's NO WAY around it

Well I do know quite a few basics about card slieghts and handling. And quite a few tricks. But I have this vid on my personal pc now and LIke I have been viewing it day in day out constantly and I still dont get it. It must be like a gift or something that you have to figure it out so quickley. (Good job on that)

Some day when I get the money i hope I can buy the instructions.

Anyway,

Oh yeah someone contacted me on aim and tried to tell me how to do the trick. and then like kept joking around like saying you just pur invisible ink on your hand. And then asked my if I wanted to cyber.

:x
So i blocked him.

BUt anyway Im just going to keep viewing hopefully ill figure it out.

hey mark.. i didn't mean to sound mean when i felt sorry for you if you still didn't get it... :)

don't worry dude.. with some careful studying on how he moves his hands around throughout the entire routine, you'll figure it out. and yes, it is a nice talent for me to be able to figure out things quickly though (the trick is pretty basic too, that's why.. just the pulling it off part is hard).. and the secret to figuring it out is to watch his hand movements throughout the ENTIRE routine.. see how he does one thing after another... and though some people may believe it or not.. there are NO gimmicks.

i'll say I'm having trouble pulling this trick off without giving it away.. gotta practice card handling again..

and here's a very small hint that might help you out without giving it away... watch carefully how he disappears the last ace. (hell, you have the video.. play it slo-mo...) good luck!

I cant beleive this thread is still active.

Mark - what part of having to go out (or internet) and buy the secret / trick yourself dont you understand!

I'm not trying to pick a fight, and maybe money is a bit tight with you, but for Yodas sake, stop asking for us to tell you outright.

Maybe if you realised this, bought the secret - then people would give you advice on improving your technique etc, without any problems.
